Becareful what you wish for. Boy you Jets fans wanted So badly to have OC, Brian Schottenheimer fired for years and now your wish came ture. Tony Sparano got be the worse OC, Jets ever had. He got to go like NOW! not at the end of the season.

Here are some of the things I learned from this game…1-The Dolphins 2nd string QB is clearly better then anything we have on this team! 2-You can officially place the “B” word on Kyle Wilson, he can’t cover a twin size mattress with a king sized sheet! And of course 3-It is pretty obvious the NY Jets are pretenders, not contenders! With that said, I ask this question, If there is still a Mark Sanchez supporter standing, please tell me why? Aside from the garbage time, game over, yardage and TD, he was his usual self. I stated just yesterday that the NY Jets would need a non Sanchez type game to get a W. What did we get? A “typical” MS type game and a humiliating loss!

I was all for Rex, giving him the benefit of the doubt, after today I’m done, he is as bad a HC as Sanchez is at QB, he looked like a wet noodle walking the sidelines.emotionless except 1st down on 20 losing by 20, next series 3 and out he’s a joke, he doesn’t know how to adjust it’s so obvious to me now ,Tebow on the wing?, who could possibly take him seriously, play him at QB /RB or let him go. like I said earlier Book on Sanchez Blitz and he folds making mistake after mistake. I’m so spitting mad Rex Mike -T and TS need to be fired be4 seasons end These guy’s get paid millions and fans get the shaft, Time for them to let Woody know. were not taking it anymore, Boycott games watch how fast changes get done

Another game Fumbled, stumbled, and bumbled INT away. By coaches as well as Sanchez.. what a disgrace. I’m so embarrassed to call myself a Jet fan anymore even Mike Westhoff ST’s were horrible last 2 weeks , was all we as fans had left to hang our hats on, They need to be fired be4 next years draft, I don’t want them destroying our # 1 or 2 pick in the first round . we need it to count if we’re ever going to become more than a joke in this league,

What a sad, sad, sad, state of affairs. Best thing this brain thrust can possibly do is to give McElroy ALL the reps during the bye week and turn the job over to him. No Tebow at QB! H back or TE if you have to. There are needs all over the board, but the most glaring is at the QB position. If Mc can do it, fine! If he can’t then you know what first priority is this coming off season. Stand pat and you will regret it.

Still nice to know in the bully world, they always get it in the end.Enough of that talk that you can win with problem makers. That being said I am waiting for the first post that says if this teams loses three games and the jets win the next four and we get help from so and so we are in the playoffs.

Another signature “train wreck ” loss from Rex & Co.It looked like we were hungover from our “moral” victory vs. NE last week. The entire team was inconsistent as Miami executed their game plan perfectly. Many on this site are tired of the Tebow experiment…I m tired of the T bomb/Rex/Sanchez experiment…Lets move on

Prove positive Rex needs to go, He’s still saying in pressers Sanchez is his best chance to win,. we need to find a way to get better, best week of practice to date , Miami played well, made plays early we couldn’t over come, Blah Blah Blah,if he truly believes this, he’s admitting defeat 60 million and 5 good picks and or players, for another bust, sure what else can he say, How about admitting you were schooled once again by a rookie head coach Rex , anyone with any football knowledge, can see Sanchez cannot win on a consistent basis in this league, his #s prove it. we witnesses it week in and week out, enough already Woody only you can End the bleeding

Put in Mac…NOW…enough already…lets see what we got with the kid. I bet 100% better composure than Sanchez….below 50% again before garbage stats…such a loser and he shows it…you see it right on camera. He is not going to change at all…no fire in him…nothing….

Tebow time. Sick and tired of waiting each game to see which Mark Sanchez show’s up. I mean the best Sanchez is still not very good but at least he can keep the Jets in the the game. But it’s clear that Rex will live by the Sanchize or die by the Sanchez, and that Tebow must of been a Woody Johnson idea. I mean how do trade a 4th round pick and take on 4 mil in salary for a guy who is playing up back on the punt team. Why not use him at least as a decoy? Now sure what the direction of this team is.

Randy, how many snaps did TT get today?

Everybody here has already covered what’s wrong with this team. What I’ll add is that so far I’m on track to predict the result of every game this yr. I said we’d lose to NE twice, which we’re halfway to doing, and lose to SF, HOU, and PIT. I said we’d split with MIA, which we’ve done, and BUF, which we might do. I guessed we’d lose to SD (I’ll stand by that), have trouble with SEA (I’ll especially stand by that) and TEN, and now I’ll add have trouble with ARI. These predictions put us on track for roughly the 6-10 yr that many of us saw coming, maybe inching up to 7-9 or 8-8 or maybe going as low as 4-12 or 5-11. Nothing has happened to drastically change that picture. The real question is what will happen in the off-season.

  25. By chris long time jet fan on Oct 28, 2012 | Reply

this team goes where sanchez takes them so we are going nowhere ..rex says sanchez gives us the best chance to win.. he must go too…mark misses to many reads ..holds the ball to long…but what he does give you every week without fail is interceptions fumbles,,,batted balls…starting to think he cant see over the o-line…mark took the hit in the first quarter i knew we were done.

  26. By chris long time jet fan on Oct 28, 2012 | Reply

everybody knows to biltz mark …garanteed victory ,,,send him to any afc team ..nobody will pick him up.hes terrible..hes got to be the worst qb the jets ever had….this is almost as bad as the isaah thomas and the knicks pitiful.

  27. By Jet Fan Since '64 Tom on Oct 28, 2012 | Reply

Ira, with 14 catches, S Hill’s on track to catch about the 35 passes that you predicted before the season, considering he missed two full games. (That’s with Holmes out but Kerley becoming the #1.) Had he played in those games, I think he’d be more of a candidate for the 40-45 that a few of us had in mind for him. I’d argue that a for a rookie like him, very gifted and very raw, catching about 35 passes and showing deep-threat and scoring potential is a pretty good debut on a team with a QB with a perennial 70-75% rating. I’d also argue that we have to get the QB situation upgraded and make what changes are necessary next yr so that guys like Kerley and Hill, who may well have Nicks-Cruz-like potential, get to realize it — on THIS team!

Not enough room to list all that went wrong today. Rex looked and sounded like a coach out of excuses and defeated. To keep proclaiming that he beleives in Sanchez is just another example of how clueless he is. Time to let McElroy put on his uniform and see what he can do. Rex needs to get out of the way of progress.

Just want to say thankyou to the football gods, my last post last week was asking to drop thr ground and pound and let Mark run it 50 plus attempts, couldnt ask for anyyhing more. i look at it as a a test ..like finals in school. I hope woody realizes that its time to start looking in a new direction at QB, he is not learning, same mistakes, over and over. its ashame cause he does have talent. i dont think its all on mark, he has been jerked around more than most, he deserves a new shot somewhere else, unles they remove Rex and company. and bring in a qualty QB coach, but its too late for tyhat now ,here with the Jets. Also Mike petin needs to be on the sidelines, dont deserve the booth.

What’s more amazing than this embarrassment, is the outright Incompetence shown by our coaches,GM Sanchez is incapable of stringing 2 in a row , let alone win from behind , yet even after the game is out of reach he is never pulled, ,Whats just as amazing Rex doesn’t realize he’s destroying his own rep with any other team who might take a chance hiring him on as towel or water boy, I mean really, I don’t like insulting him but he’s sealing his fate decisions he’s made with players, game situations, clock, management, preparation, sticking with Mark for so long all while he’s making Himself, woody, us fans, and team, with help from Mike -T NFL laughing stock of the Century

kw65, I posted something during the 4th qtr that didn’t make the grade with Randy about how I couldn’t believe it took until 12 minutes to go and down 4 scores for Rex and Sparano to start throwing. But that’s of a piece with this team that fails to practice 2-minute drills at the half during exhib games, as if they know they’re not seriously going to try to execute them during the season. The entire offensive character of the Jets (that’s not a pun) under Rex is ridiculous and yet it apparently cant change until he, Sanchez, and Mr T are all gone because this kind of stonewalling is their own personal Benghazi. I think if we don’t really shake things up in the off-season, a lot more ticket holders will start echoing john sciandra’s post.

I like the Kerley – Hill posibility of becoming Nicks – Cruz unfortunately with Sanchez or Tebow we will never know. We need to trade Tebow for whatever wee can get, draft pick or maybe someones back up LB. Call the Chiefs or Jax and offer Sanchez while agreeing to pay half his salery to get rid of him. DO NOT wait for the off season to make changes. Fire Tanny and sign Polian before another team signs him. Pry Gruden away from ESPN while (I hate tom say it) firing Rex. Gruden can take the second half to evaluate what he has selecting new co-ordinaters to replace many we have especially Sporano. Sporano could not get his team up to beat the team that fired him and to into the bye as a contender. If playoffs were today Miami 5th seed.

Don’t get knocked over when he falls Karan. Don’t know what you see but I see NOT a leader ..just see it in his eyes from 3rd quarter on. NO fire in him (leadership)…no urgency…was he getting rest of offense fired up on the sidelines…NO…sitting on the bench…sulking. What finally changed my decision was last week after the Pat’s game…all giddy with them after the game. Nothing but a LOSER. Have to change the attitude of this team…with the QB being number 1. Like i said before in earlier post…during this 2 weeks…trade Tebow…get rid of him…total waste…give Mac all reps during this time….ENUF ALREADY…

In all my years im going to the games i never left a game early no matter what, believe it or not yesterday was the first time and that largely cause there was no trust in this regime and QB for us having a miracle comeback like once before and the fact i live in LI and the Storm coming in is at this point much more exitment than my beloved jets. As for Rex one think we learned in his tenure here that he is a extremly loyal guy and doesnt throw his guys under the Bus no matter, but this will contribute more to his dismissal on the end of the year. And it will be interesting to see if his loyality goes as far as suggesting in his new job that MS is the right guy for building a winner.

  42. By DKM on Oct 29, 2012 | Reply

Just like other fans mentioned here before MS has become a clear case of Jackel and Hyde. The Oline has become the worst line in Football considering there where 3 PB on it what a joke. Im in line with JFS64 that the most you can expect out of this season if everybody plays its best, 8-8 would be a great accomplishment, anything less is what the team actualy should be, your record says you are what you are, remember BP.

And don’t draw conclusions about veteran Jet fans until you’ve met ‘em, most of the ones I know, schooled on the highly competitive streets of the Five Boroughs, don’t even give the time of day to friends of the female variety unless they’re way younger than us. (Unlike the present-day Jets, some of us still have a nose for the end zone. ) SCfromNY and MJV, good work going for big solutions instead of piddling little issues…sounds like this presidential campaign I’ve been hearing about…

If you had been reading my post you would have seen that I have agreed with many of your posts and on occassion actually defended you to others.(not that you need defending) but when you are right your right!

64, I really hate to admit this, and I am not totally sold on it yet, but….the team looked extremely unprepared, undisciplined, showed no sense of urgency, they seem to never learn from their mistakes, complacency seems to have set in at certain positions (I have no idea why) and all of that has to fall on the HC.Add the stubborness to make a change at the QB spot, and it appears it is all going down hill fast! Not sure where it will all lead.

Randy, any reason that you know of why that “sack fumble” of Sanchez that never hit the ground was not ruled an INT? Personally, I think that at some point it will be reversed.

  53. By Randy Lange on Oct 29, 2012 | Reply

scjoe, I believe the officials’ ruling was that Sanchez lost the ball before his arm started forward. That’s how I saw it. Certainly that’s how it was scored. Since it was ruled a sack, there was no pass because you can’t have a sack when the ball is thrown. And fumbles don’t have to hit the ground to be ruled fumbles. The scoring could be changed but I don’t think it will be.

Defending a 4 year NFL starting QB who is ranked 30th at the halfway point of the season is comical.
We are two Dan Carpenter missed chip shot FG’s away from 2-6 which is more what this team is and I predicted a 4 win season …..if Tebow does not become the starting QB.
Joe Phibin is the coach I wanted hired to replace Rex last offseason. Philbin has the Dolphins playing great TEAM football in every aspect of the game.
Rex should stay with Jamarcus Sanchez the whole season and Woody should send both packing at the end of the year.

Only laughs and enjoyment I get from this site lately, is listening to the Statistical geniuses, taking hours looking up stats to prove a point, they’re right and many of us wrong, like leading in our division 2-0 only 4 games in, if we beat this team and that team loses, hope and pray every AFC team ahead of us loses 6 games, play to lose long enough eventually opposing team will pull a Sanchez,Sack, trip, slip, fall int fumble INT. we’ll have a chance to win
moon and galaxy a line .Brady gets in grown toe nail misses enough games Miami’s rookie HC QB revamped team didn’t blitz or improve. Hope Buffalo forgot who they’re playing like they did last time. OH right forgot Sanchez having a bad day

Ron A, talk of dropped passes on this team is a highly debatable in many cases because Sanchez’s throws are almost never right where they should be, even when the WRs contort themselves to catch them, a pt GaryC made many times LAST yr. scjoe, that’s nice that you’re open to new thinking but really, anyone who thinks at this pt that Rex is likely to ever become a top-tier HC is simply either biased, uninformed, or in serious denial. And yes, MJV, the proof of the loser mindset that prevails on this team now is those ongoing, absurd rationalizations for how we can succeed without being any good, i.e. “Mark doesn’t have to be great as long as everybody around him is perfect.” (That’s still my favorite.)

lets not blame tebow for sanchez lack of rythm..rex put all his eggs in one basket..and its a bust…whats frustating is its taking so long to fix….no players are alound to say or be who they are cause of the qb and coach relationship.,,all following the team line..and all the people who do say are gone ….and 3 wrs mason buress holmes all were good wrs…and t,o would of said the same thats why he not here when we had all those wr injuries.

I hate the coach. I hate the QB. I hate the owner. I hate the GM. But i spend lots of money going to games and spend my day off watching them play. And of course I spend the rest of my time criticizing them on my computer!

Makes sense to me. If you dislike something so much why do you spend all your time talking about it?

Totally agree with you, Frank, about Sanchez and making so many excuses for somebody at the 4-yr pt…not that there isn’t a lot of that going on in the press over somebody else who’s been around 4 yrs without accomplishing all that much…

joeydefiant, you must also be joeyyveryyoung, joeygreenasthedayislong, or joeywho’sconvincedhimselfhe’spowerless. When you get a little older, smarter, or more experienced, you’ll understand that people can win wars or stop them with not much more speaking up than some of us are doing on this site in just minutes a day. There’s probably not a person who posts here who hasn’t had the experience of helping to make a statement that has resulted in a big change in the team that they root for…except maybe you, of course. First few tips: Learn to read, type, and understand how football is played a little faster.

The funniest thing I ever read is that “Jet Fan Since ’64 Tom” thinks Woody Johnson, Mike Tannebaum, and Rex Ryan read his comments and make changes to the team based on them. Wow, are you delusional.

    HAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHAHA FUNNY.

joeydefiant, you can think anything you want is funny but when you don’t answer with any credible arguments, no one will listen. Ridicule instead of logic is the currency of the uninformed. But don’t listen to me, listen to the people posting here who say they’re going to stop going to games, give up their long-held season seats, start pushing for a boycott, etc. That’s what I mean about how it doesn’t take much to move owners, GMs, and HCs. Of course, if you knew anything about even recent Jet history, much less long-time Jet history, you’d know all that already. We didn’t go out and get folks like Vinnie, Favre, and Tebow because the fan base was thrilled with what we had. My guess is you’ve been watching football, oh, less than 5 yrs…

TOM64,no doubt you make a good point about the recievers having to make great catches on M.S off target heaves. But there is so much blame to go around.M.S. still gets hit way too much as the o.l though improved from the days of Hunter still leaves a lot to be desired. The dropped passes are still a big problem and S.C.J’s comments about the lack of preperation and effort all come in to play here as well. I’m on vacation in SCarolina but I’m reading about coaches on the hot seatAmazingly, Rex’s name was not on the list? You know I have been supportive of both Rex & M.S in the past but as I told JOE(who refuses to answere my posts) “that ship has sailed! I have come to the conclusion its time to blow this whole thing up!

Joey defiant, come on dude! Coming on here and attacking people who you obviously know nothing about is dumb at best! TOM64 although he critises the organization, does put himself out there by also offering soloutions to the problems Hey, no problem if you want to disagree as I often do, but remember, this blog is here to offer people an opportunity to say what they feel! It really doesn’t matter if anyone from the Jets organization reads this or not. This is just an opportunity to share our thoughts & see how others . Judging by your comments you must feel that everything is great in Jetville & thet you will be thrilled to finish the season say 6-10 ? Hey, if that makes you happy o.k!
