charliejet and ronbo, SF’s 31, 34, and another pick for Revis would be JUST FINE given his injury, his character, his constant need for more money, and the fact that we won’t be close to competitive until he’s at least another 2 yrs into his career. By that time, he might just be another Aso, a guy whose PR went to his head and has become overpriced and overrated. Either way, he ain’t the future on this team.

Charlie Jet, Ira posted on a newer header we might get the 49ers 1st pic#31+ the #34 they got from K.C, and probably a 3rd or 4th rounder as well. That would probably be about as much as we can expect considering Revis medical situation.As we are in a rebuilding mode I could live with that.

Well now that Smith has been traded to the Chiefs for 2picks, San Fran now has 15,yes 15 draft picks. I think Revis will be a 49 with some of those picks coming our way. Wada’ ya? say um… 1 late first round AND 2 early second round picks? Any thoughts?

Guys, Relax,The combine is just a small piece to a giant puzzle.Ht. Wt. 40 time, bench press, high jump, broad jump,all that stuff simply gives a clearer picture to how much athletic ability a guy has or doesn’t have. It obviously does nothing in terms of measuring a guys heart,smarts or ability to work as a member of a team. I agree with IRA that game tapes, scouting and individual work outs are much more important.

jetfantom,I believe now it is harder that they moved to Lucas Oil to get close to the coaching staff and Players,I have a sheet with the autographs of Gil Brandt,John Clayton,Peter King,Adam Snyder the Ex 49 guard and Heimerdinger,before he passed away.I could actually take a bus to the downtown area,about a half hour ride.

Here’s my take on today’s combine, spare me the drama, All hamlets .These young spoiled self absorbed children of today,( MOST NOT ALL) put their best foot forward show best behavior, sit in front of cameras say all the right things. get Millions, What do they give in return actors, holdouts, dancing for the stars for what, simply doing what they’re over pay for a tackle here, a catch there, not to mention whatever trouble they can find, give me the real men of football the Klecko’s, Lyon’s D- Byrd,J Payton’s, J-Green, Curtis Martin, any day of the week take these combines and stick em. How about Testing for Heart, determination, and intestinal fortitude

It was better when the combine was at the RCA dome,the convention center and dome were connected any you came in contact with the players,coaches in the lobby,they actually had the interviews behind closed doors in the convention center lobby,remember Troy Williamson agent talking on his cell phone,talking up Williamson,didn’t help,the guy turned out to be a bust.I actually talked to Brad Seely and Mike Heimerdinger.Talked to Clayton,Peter King,you cannot get that access now.

Whenever I see NFL Combine numbers, I think of something Marc Spindler said prior to the 1990 draft.

Interesting numbers by Randy but sorry in my books they mean nothing. Game tapes to not lie and thats the only way to grade players. These workouts in shorts mean zero look at Gholston and so many others and look at Brady .

Allan, Sanchez scores out low in every category as a starting QB. But when it comes to mental toughness, he’d be hard-pressed to start on a good Southern California high school team. (I know because I go to the games once in awhile and also see them on the TVs behind the bar at my favorite Mexican cantina on Friday nights.)
